As heavy water consumers it is imperative that the helpful animals of carriage, draft or food do not experience toxic tissue loading, bone and teeth brittling, and systemic poisoning through drinking or ingesting man's un-natural industrial fluorides!

Any hardening of their teeth puts them at increased risk of shatter when hitting stones occasionally carried in hay cuttings or ground produced silage.
So Nature wisely gave cattle and all grazing and chewing animals teeth flaccid enough to tolerate striking an occasional grain of sand or stone without shattering. 
But Man's reactive (calcium-hardening) fluoride turns livestock's "Tupper-ware-like", resilient teeth into brittle "china"!

Likewise their bones are meant to be malleable and elastic enough to carry their weight in loaded motion and running impact without fracturing or breaking like shatter prone ceramic!

Unlike humans, carriage, draft and food production animals, as is with all other animals, are unable to effectively sweat out the halides and metals, so must accumulate and carry the accumulated toxins from the thousands of gallons of water and feed crops they consume, and will pass them on to you in there milk, eggs, fats and flesh!

Remember! We older farmers and ranchers had our Fluoride experiences in Utah, Summit, Toole, Box Elder, Davis Counties in the 50's and early 60's with damaged crops, dying cattle and sheep with industrial waste fluoride releases (see letter at bottom of this page); the very compound those same corporations have convinced the gullible city folks, through their animal-ignorant dentists and human-medicine  doctors, that they are good for them! -- of course, for a price that everyone, including us community imbedded farmers, are forced to pay!

Ask an Old honest Veterinarian!

Community and City folks can easily fluoridate their own teeth, cheaply and directly if they choose. But they must not force that choice upon our much high water use requirements for our winter greenhouse soil organisms, plants and thirsty animals -- all produced for their tables, as the freshest, with best taste, lowest cost, and best nutritional benefit for them!

Our livelihood and their delicious locally produced garden foods and livestock products are already being subtly damaged by their water treatments they have in place and are at risk to further fail if they vote to continue forced fluoridation upon us!

My family is already experiencing culinary water damage to container starts and production for winter harvesting as our Weber water has been shut off (Oct 15) and the county have demanded family well use curtailment and we must use HFA (which does not vaporize as does the chlorine in) treated culinary water. From experience, we know the animal degradation and damage follows!

Demand that your neighbors and community respect you and even their own "square foot" and window gardens, pets, horses and community animals and to VOTE NO! to Fluoridation! 

--- which intelligent Woods Cross, Utah Councilmen and farmers were smart enough understand (with my reminder of our problems with Fluoride experiences decades ago) and so chose to separate from the fluoridated county water system and rejected Fluoridation outright for the good of their own crops and animals in the beginning! (They now how to buy fluoride toothpaste and tablets if they want!)

I have some of the records and university and Dept of Agriculture studies of our experience with Fluoride poisonings of our crops and herds in the 50's and early 60's, and could have them available, if I had the time and money to scan for you to see here and/or duplicate for you to have in hand yourself. But I am broke (even going without gas heat 2 winters and any niceties) just doing what I am already doing (including paying for this website space) to inform you -- and to have done the unpaid 45 day citizen lobbying and interim days battle with the legislators (and County Commissioners) to provide you with the right, even for a re-vote this year! 

Please lets not waste my own (and my family's) sacrifices, along with the sacrifices and efforts of my like thinking friends of Citizen For Safe Drinking Water Utah and Davis County, to get this right to reconsider and re-vote Fluoride (Waste Hydrofluosilicic Acid) out of Davis County (or anywhere)!

Keep Holding, Please
Last month, Rocky Mountain Bullhorn reported that meetings for public comment regarding the fluoridation of the city’s drinking water would take place on July 24 and 25 ("Fort Collins Fluoride on Trial," July 2002). But on July 23, the technical study group assessing the drinking water fluoride postponed the meetings. According to a press release from the city, it is likely the meetings will be rescheduled this fall.

The fluoride used by the city is obtained from supplier Cargill Fertilizer of Riverview, Florida. The company transforms ‘hydrofluosilicic acid,’ a classified hazardous waste, into a supposed "benign medicine." The Environmental Protection Agency has classified the condensed vapor that eventually ends up in local water as a hazardous air pollutant (HAPS). 

The technical study group is looking to mid-August to release a rough draft of its findings. According to the press release, the group "has completed substantial work on four findings and will discuss adding a fifth on the topic of co-contaminants." 

At the group’s next meeting, slated for August 26, the public can attend but may not comment. 

On August 12 in the City Council Chambers, Dr. Paul Connett, an internationally recognized expert on fluoridation and hazardous waste, will join an open forum discussion from 7 to 9 p.m. According to Fluoride Facts, the group sponsoring the event, a number of pro-fluoride spokespersons will also join.

Rocky Mountain Bullhorn

The Mendenhall Family owned much of the land on the west side of Utah lake, from Saratoga Springs to Pelican Point. They grew hay and cattle, and leased grazing space to others. Paul was born in 1942 and now suffers from "cerebral palsy" and dictated this letter as he knows his family and animals were damaged by the fluoride loaded plum and acid releases from smelting operations that also affected other Utah Valley (and Heber Valley) crops and herds. In that same period hundreds of "West Desert" sheep also were effected and died, from US Steel's Geneva Plant (Possible Kennecot's Smelter too) and Magcore pre-scrubber installed plumes! No obvious Cattlemen or Sheepherders deaths occurred at that time. However those men in those same plum have chronic or auto immune diseases, cancer or have already prematurely died!

In 1942-43, Geneva steel was being built by United States Steel Corp. To keep the industry away from the Japanese during WWI. However, there was a lot of pollutants going into the air from all of the machinery building a US Navy Depot in Hill Air Force Base. In 1954-55, I began to notice more and more dense red haze from Geneva all the way from the point of the mountain to Spanish Fork. My uncle and my dad began to build our cattle herd. When a critter got to the age of 5 or 6 years old they began to have trouble getting up and down. There teeth would decay just like they'd been eaten 100 pounds of chocolate! This is also an interesting thing we had a horse & he acquired sleeping sickness. All of our animals drank from the lake. 1956 - 1958, our cattle started to die off. for no apparent reason. Geneva Steel Corp. tested all of the cows. I think they made up some excuse that it was parasites on the sage brush. Dr. Kerry Jones had a dairy in Alpine and he lost about 75 prime dairy (holsten) cows in 1957 - 58. He also had a grandson who acquired muscular dystrophy 1955. Each progressing year i noticed he got worse. In 1957 the air from Geneva got so red and dirty in the early morning hours I couldn't get my breath very good. My mother had a registered quarter horse when the horse got older she acquired rheumatism she would not lay dow for weeks at a time. sometimes she'd get so tired on her feet when she went to sleep she'd fall down. There was no doubt in my my mind the fluoride caused most of these problems. from 1957- 60, my family lost about 20 prime beef heifers for no apparent reason. Geneva was putting out a lot of pollution in the air. This created a lot of problems with our animals through the water. This is to the best of my recollection. We do not need fluoride in our drinking water.
P.S. In 1963 when Geneva was on strike for 10 months you could not see the red haze.
